Blackwell’s Manchester, in collaboration with Brown Girl Bookshelf, is delighted to host acclaimed writer Dur e Aziz Amna for an evening of conversation around her much-anticipated new novel A Splintering—a searing story of a woman navigating the tension between motherhood and ambition. Amna will be in conversation with Mishika Narula, co-founder of Brown Girl Bookshelf.
Dur e Aziz Amna is the award-winning author of American Fever, recipient of the 2023 South Asian Book Award and the APALA Award for Literature. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, Financial Times, and Al Jazeera, among others, and she was named to Forbes’ “30 Under 30” in 2022.
Join us for what promises to be an insightful discussion of Amna’s work, themes of desire and freedom, and the threads that tether us to our pasts.
