The reading will be hosted by Will Harris. The event will feature readings and discussion, and audience members will have the opportunity to ask their own questions. We will show the text during readings so that you can read along.
Registration for the online Answerlands launch will cost £2, redeemable against the cost of the book. You will receive the discount code and instructions for how to purchase the book in your confirmation email as well as during and after the event.
Answerlands is the place children go in their minds when looking for a correct answer without really thinking. It is also a fairy-tale world of quest, resolution and dissolution, glimpsed in a teacher’s dream. And it is nightmare country, disfigured by fear and systemic violence.
Joe Minden’s second collection, Answerlands, explores the curiosity-destroying, harmful potential of school even as it celebrates the erring minds of teacher and student, which make encounter possible.
