Rainy City Stories is an interactive literary cityscape. You can click on a location in their map of Manchester to read a story or poem set there. The map includes pieces by well-known Manchester authors, as well as people who have just started writing.
“Everyone’s secret map of Manchester is different, with each street bearing its own real or imagined history. This is a slightly mad attempt to plot and cross-reference these interior topographies. Our map contains within its depths an unwieldy and kaleidoscopic collection of documents that is constantly growing and changing, much like the city itself.”
The map was created by Project Editor Kate Feld and Site Developer Chris Horkan, and is supported by Manchester Literature Festival.
Manchester City of Literature is committed to inclusion and accessibility for everyone.
