This creative workshop invites participants to reflect on books and stories that have shaped their lives: those that travelled with them, those left behind in times of crisis or change, and those shared orally across generations. Through book-making, storytelling and small repair activities, participants will explore what these books mean to them — whether still on our shelves or living only in memory.
Please note that this event will not be open to the general public. Participants have been invited from displaced communities in Manchester affected by war and conflict, including Ukrainian, Palestinian and other communities.
Manchester City of Literature is committed to inclusion and accessibility for everyone.
