Page Against the Machine is an international event which brings readers of all ages and backgrounds together to enjoy the simple pleasure of reading.

We’re so pleased to invite everyone to come and read peacefully together in the lovely surroundings of Manchester’s newest green space, Castlefield Viaduct. We’ll be giving out some goodies from Manchester City of Literature on the day.

Cities of Literature across the world will join us by hosting their own event on the same date. Can’t join us in person? Pick your favourite reading spot – at home or elsewhere – at the same time and date, join us online! Make sure to take a picture of your chosen book and reading spot and share with us on social media using the hashtag #PageAgainsttheMachine.
