Can you support local people in Greater Manchester?

We are Manchester UNESCO City of Literature – and we support the voices and talent of our great city, from schools and community groups, to young, emerging and established professional writers. Our mission is to cultivate the joy of literature for all.

Manchester is a city of libraries. Our Festival of Libraries celebrates them, and all that they offer and also has a proven positive impact on local people’s wellbeing, social connections, community cohesion, education and employment opportunities.

Now we need to make the 2023 Festival of Libraries benefit even more people.

Why we need your support

With your help, we can make a real difference to the people who benefit the most from local libraries, who may need support with reading and writing, or who could benefit from the community activity happening at their local library.
