El Chojin is celebrating 25 years in music, having established himself as one of the most respected voices in Spanish rap. Since the late 1990s, he has released over 15 albums, published books of poetry and essays, and performed on stages around the world with a unique style: direct, thoughtful, and deeply engaged with social, educational, and personal issues.
Over the years, he has collaborated with artists from various disciplines, led international human rights campaigns, and became the first rapper to perform at the European Parliament. His music has been heard in theatres, festivals, schools, and concert halls — always with the same purpose: to use rap as a tool to connect, question, and inspire change.
Now, 25 years on, El Chojin returns to the stage to celebrate this journey with those who have been part of it.
This programme is supported by the Internationalisation Programme for Spanish Music and Performing Arts, co-organised by the Instituto Cervantes and the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM) of the Spanish Ministry of Culture, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan — Funded by the European Union — NextGenerationEU.
