Award-winning graphic novel writer, Corey Brotherson, joins the ‘Festival of Libraries’ line up at the Portico Library on Saturday 15 June 2024.

Corey is the creator of the women-focused sci-fi anthology Deadlier Than…, and the critically acclaimed ongoing graphic novel series, Magic of Myths, as well as the writer of in-development adventure game ‘Windrush Tales’.

Joining him in a fireside chat will be Portico Public Programme Committee Chair, Carol Ann Whitehead, as Corey shares his journey across 17 years in the comic book industry, focusing on lived experiences and perspectives often absent from the mainstream. You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in a workshop to explore ways to create your own inclusive stories.

Visitors will have an opportunity to buy a signed copy of Corey’s graphic novels and comics.
