  • AGES

    All ages welcome

Hosted at The Onion – a sober-led third space in Levenshulme for anarchists, artists, and outcasts – this two-night poetry workshop series invites participants into a space of radical reading, communal thinking, and collective refusal of the neat and literary.

Facilitated by Joseph Conway and Abhijeet Singh, the sessions are not designed to extract polished poems from participants, but rather to nurture your ability to read poetry closely, politically, and with integrity. We’re less interested in the final product and more in how poetry can be a tool for survival, solidarity, and transformation.

Whether you write or not, this space is for you. Non-poets are especially welcome. No prior knowledge is needed—just curiosity, courage, and a willingness to be with others in thinking through crisis, language, and imagination.

Each night is shaped around a different poetic voice and text. Expect rich discussion, poetic analysis, and entry points into a practice of poetry that centres resistance and collectivism.

Free. Open to all. Just bring yourself.
