Poetry London and Manchester Poetry Library
As part of its ‘Beyond London’ series of outreach events, Poetry London will be launching its 100th issue in the UK’s major poetry libraries, key among them is the Manchester Poetry Library at Manchester Metropolitan University. Join us for a celebration of PL’s 33 years in print at an event hosted by Poetry Editor André Naffis-Sahely, Assistant Editor Isabelle Baafi and Reviews Editor Dai George. There will be a special display of archival editions of Poetry London and the poets they’ve featured in the new Manchester Poetry Library at Manchester Met, along with readings from poet & Bloomsbury editor Kayo Chingonyi, and Poetry London’s competition judge, Malika Booker.
The evening’s event will consist of a discussion and Q&A on the subject of being an editor, followed by a reading.
Tickets are free but booking is essential. There will be an audio podcast & transcription of the event made available as soon as possible after the event. A BSL interpreter will be present.
