‘Reclaiming Our Climate’, the first ‘Say It Loud’ event, considers, through writing and discussion workshops, the complex history which connects the ongoing climate and ecological crisis with systemic racism, where we fit into that as individuals, and what is needed to build a stronger connection to each other and our planet.
We’re now looking for participants (aged 18-25) of Global Majority heritage based in Greater Manchester to take part in two 3 hour taster workshops, exploring themes of identity, community, race and the environment and to imagine together what ‘Reclaiming Our Climate’ might look like.
Anyone looking to get involved can email sayitloudmcr@outlook.com with:
Your story (whatever that means to you) Why you’d like to take part in ‘Reclaiming Our Climate’
In whatever form of creative writing you like to express yourself in.
Send us an email or visit our Facebook page with any questions.
The workshops are on Saturdays 11th and 18th March (1.30-4.30pm)
