This wellbeing afternoon consists of two sessions with experienced facilitators:
Session 1 (1pm-2.10pm)
A Creative Writing Workshop with Kofi Gyamfi about creative freedom and mindfulness. Writing can take any form (or no form) with responses to music, artworks and photographs. All forms of expression are included and there will be fidget toys for sensory needs available.
Session 2 (2.30pm-4pm)
A Movement Workshop with choreographer, dancer, and director, Joshua Hubbard.
This workshop is designed to elevate participants’ subconscious awareness through a series of movement-based exercises. Unlike traditional dance classes focused on routine and technique, this session uses movement to unlock higher potential and self-awareness. The workshop is inclusive, catering to all levels of experience with movement, and is suitable for participants of all shapes and sizes.
Manchester City of Literature is committed to inclusion and accessibility for everyone.
