Wrice is a series of free, fun and accessible creative writing workshops and a support network for the East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) community in Manchester. Wrice is supported by Contact Theatre.

From March to May, there will be…
– Fortnightly creative writing workshops taking place at CONTACT THEATRE on Saturdays from 11am-1pm
– Monthly ESEA book club taking place ONLINE on the last Monday of each month from 7-8pm
– Social events
– A zine of our work

Sign-ups for the first Creative Writing workshop ‘Subvert’ are live! The workshop will take place on Saturday 11th of March, 11am-1pm. The first Wrice workshop will explore the ways in which ESEA writers subvert genre, form and literary styles to tell their stories.

There are six places per workshop, each with a different theme that explores different mediums of writing by ESEA writers. Themes we may explore are ‘Music’, ‘Food’ and ‘Relationships’. These are all standalone workshops and there is NO pressure to commit to the full programme.

There is a small amount of travel and book bursaries available for those who need it.
