Arc Centre & Gallery
As a part of Stockport’s first Arts and Health Week, ARC are hosting a creative writing workshop with award-winning local writer and therapist Jane Claire Bradley.
From anecdotal evidence to in-depth academic research, there’s tons of evidence for the wellbeing benefits of creative writing. It’s been shown to increase resilience, mood and self-esteem, decrease stress and even improve issues with pain or sleep. If you’re intrigued but not sure where to start, join this 90-minute workshop for all experience levels, where you’ll be taught tools and techniques you’ll be able to use to support your emotional wellbeing – in the session and beyond.
Led by a facilitator with a ton of knowledge, experience and empathy, you’ll learn approaches to reflective, expressive and mindful writing; use writing to explore memory, place and past experience, and leave feeling more resilient, creative and empowered
This workshop will take place at Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery, Wellington Road South, Stockport SK3 8AB.
There is a small charge for this event but please email info@arc-centre.org if you feel that your income excludes you from attending and we can provide a complimentary ticket. No evidence will be required.
