See the city’s charged radical histories on foot with Mike Sanders.

Mike Sanders is a professor of 19th Century Lit and Culture at The University of Manchester specialising in Chartism and working-class poetry.

He will take us on a walking tour of Central Manchester’s radical histories – from Abel Heywood to Ernest Jones, The Sun Inn, Engels and Peterloo – to make us see the city as charged by these people and events.

Meet outside Manchester Town Hall. Wear comfortable footwear and bring a notebook and pen.
