Inclusion and diversity drive everything Queer Lit do. Like many members of the LGBTQ+ community, they found it difficult to discover literature that best reflected their ethos and queer experiences. They founded Queer Lit to tackle this problem – to better represent the LGBTQ+ community in Manchester – especially those who love books!

Since then, they’ve grown exponentially – from stocking just 700 titles online, to now having over 4500 titles in their bricks and mortar store on Manchester’s Great Ancoats Street, which opened in October 2023.
