Connect and make your mark: An event for secondary schools encouraging young people to connect with each other, the city and higher education as a community of young writers.

Join professional First Story writers-in-residence for an exploratory creative writing journey and produce and share original work during this day long event, with the opportunity to be part of the UNESCO Manchester City of Literature exhibition in June.

– Spend the morning at the Centre for New Writing at The University of Manchester, with a writing workshop and tour

– Walk in the footsteps of the the city’s writers and global citizens

– Complete your writing workshops at Manchester Writing School at Manchester Metropolitan University and explore the campus

– Share and present your work at Manchester Poetry Library for a chance to be selected for the Manchester City of Literature creative writing showcase.

This event is delivered in partnership with hosts at The University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University.
