Using the narrative of Simone’s classic ‘Four Women’ members of a live orchestra will be joined by DJ Paulette of Hacienda fame, Shirley May (poet), Yemi Bolatiwa (vocals), Maisha Kungu (dancer) and Seren Marimba (contemporary circus performer) in a unique showcase exploring the experiences of black women within the creative industries and society at large. The music performed is composed by artists including Afrodeutsche, Errollyn Wallen, Jessie Montgomery and Daniel Bernard Roumain.

A live panel discussion will follow hosted by infamous Drum and Bass DJ and actress Jenna G who has worked with modern-day musical icons Chase and Status and Goldie. Jenna will be dissecting the four characters created by Nina Simone with the creatives involved in the project.
