Muslim Writers North
Muslim Writers North is thrilled to announce the inaugural Lyrical Layl Open Mic Night. Since 2009, our focus has been to support Muslim writers to cross into the mainstream—on page, on stage, and on screen. Lyrical Layl is our latest initiative to create a supportive, vibrant local space where you can share your voice, release your inner muse, and connect with a fantastic community.
For our very first event, we are gathering around a powerful central theme: Belonging & The Borderless Mind.
What does “home” mean to you when geography, history, or politics gets in the way? Whether you are a seasoned poet, a novelist testing out a brand-new chapter, or a storyteller exploring ancestral roots and diaspora identity, we want you to help us kick off this new series.
