Manchester City of Literature
This event brings together film, conversation, and collective reflection to explore how storytelling functions in the aftermath of trauma and under conditions shaped by colonialism and imprisonment. The screening will be followed by a facilitated discussion considering the role of narrative and cultural production in processes of healing, resistance, and political education.
Framed within MSJI’s broader commitment to political education and cultural organising, the evening invites audiences to engage critically and collectively: holding space for testimony while connecting personal histories to wider struggles for justice and liberation.
Manchester City of Literature is committed to inclusion and accessibility for everyone.
