Sir Derek Jacobi, Patron of Heartstone, the non-profit organisation that came into being following out of the book says: ‘I have always been drawn to books that promote respect and tolerance which can genuinely bring people together. I have always held in high regard any wonderful story especially if it can equally touch both an adult and a child who read it. I have always found truth in any narrative that achieves a special relevance in challenging times such as now. It is rare however to find a book that so completely succeeds in all these things in a single story as ‘The Heartstone Odyssey ‘ does. Be careful though, it holds a challenge about judging others and being judged, a mirror we all know from life and which I have seen so many times and, in so many ways, on and from the stage in the most significant works. I dare you to join the adventure.’
