Founded in 2018 with a mission to amplify underrepresented voices and challenge conventional narratives, they have built a reputation for publishing books that spark conversation, inspire action, and push literary boundaries.
Fly On The Wall Press won the British Book Awards’ Small Press of the Year (North) in 2024 and have been a finalist five years running! Other accolades include Managing Director Isabelle Kenyon being named a Leader of the Year at the FutureBook Awards in 2025, the Manchester People’s Choice Award (finalist, 2023) and winner of the Manchester Culture Awards 2024 (Promotion of Environmental Sustainability and Responsibility). Authors have been recognised in major literary prizes, including listings in the Sky Arts Award, the Laurel Prize; the Julie Suk Award, the Edge Hill Prize and the Saboteur Awards.

Driving Social Change

Fly on the Wall Press began with ambitious international anthologies which donated all profits to charity. Now, across many of our books, we continue this social activism by raising funds for chosen charities but also fueling ongoing dialogue on highlighted issues. Charitable organisations include Mind, Shelter, Crisis Aid UK, WWF, The Climate Coalition, Street Child United, and Invest in ME.

A Publisher with a Conscience

We redefine author relations by offering ethical compensation, surpassing the recommended royalty rates. We aim to be both transparent and ambitious with our communication with authors. With a focus on quality over quantity, we collaborate with a select group of 8-12 authors annually, ensuring tailored marketing campaigns and holistic support.
