Sophie Woolley performs a work-in-progress sharing of Robovac, a comedy solo show based on her lived experience of being a Deaf cyborg and Wellbeing Manifestation Officer in 2126.

[Work In Progress Description] Deep into a dangerous, prohibited solo mission back in time to 2026 (a historically weak and treacherous year for 21st-century humanity), Sophie has no alternative but to become a stand-up comedian. Far from her home in the future, and pining for current mood sanctuary in the neo-Gothic John Rylands Library, Sophie stumbles on some sensational people and clues to help create a cooler tomorrow.

This is a twenty-minute work-in-progress scratch performance in English. Sophie will also invite people to participate during the session. There will also be an opportunity to give feedback after the performance, helping Sophie to workshop what is and is not working.

Sophie is an Unlimited Artist in Residence. She is a multi-disciplinary writer, performer, and comedian from London, working across comedy, TV, theatre, radio, and literature. Her TV acting credits include Bridgerton (Netflix), Cast Offs (Channel 4), and Comedy Lab (Channel 4).

She has written episodes for EastEnders and Casualty. Her comedy writing for Radio 4 includes Absolutely Delish (about a life coach and nutritionist) and Carbon Cleansing (about climate activists). She is also known for creating, performing, and touring her own original, “wellbeing” and eco-themed comedy plays (When to Run, Bee Detective),
