Join Mike V. Derderian a.k.a. “Sardine” a professional comic book artist for this dynamic talk and hands‑on workshop around comics.

Mike will discuss how comics are no different than being at the movies, showing the links between panels and the big screen.

After the presentation, you’ll dive into a practical workshop where he guides you through writing and drawing your own comic strip, sharing the techniques, tricks, and creative mindset used by working comic artists.

Who should attend:
Anyone aged 15 to 60+ with an interest in comics, movies, storytelling, or drawing — no experience required.

Duration: 120 minutes

About Mike V. Derderian
Mike V. Derderian is a writer / comics & graffiti artist from Amman, Jordan. He is the founder of studio F.A.D.A. 317, a studio that is all about comics, graffiti and other oddities. In 2018 Mike launched the first issue of the comics collective Fanzeen with a group of amazing individuals, who are into comics. Fanzeen at the moment is at Issue 7. Between writing, drawing and publishing comics Mike curates comics, cartoon and graffiti themed art shows at his studio space. Quite recently he launched a mini comics convention called Ammanga. He also moonlights as a graffiti artists who call himself Sardine.
